Introducing Windows 11 Pro for Windows 11
The main part of this announcement was supposed to be the introduction of a significant user interface change called Valley of the Sun. As we know, a significant part of the UX changes will be borrowed from the Windows 10X shell, and Windows 10X will not be released. Now, as expected, the Windows 11 leaks begin. Windows 11 Pro Features Windows 11 will have a completely new design. It's clear that Microsoft needs a good reason to retract its previous claims and abandon Windows 10 by introducing a new operating system number.
And the brand new design is perfect for that
The Redmond giant has long been preparing an update with the code name Sun Valley (Sun Valley), which apparently was the name of Windows 11. The Sun Valley project flickered on the network for a long time - Microsoft regularly leaked details of the new interface style, insiders shared previously unknown information, and popular designers in their circles drew realistic concepts based on all this data. Startup and system items will float above the bottom bar. The Start menu is the calling card and face of every recent version of Windows. It is not surprising that the developers of Windows 11 will change it again, but not so much functionally as visually - the Start window will float above the bottom bar.
Steep corners will disappear, replaced by fillets
You have to admit, this small change makes the system look a lot fresher. Judging by information from the network, Microsoft will not radically change the "interior" of this menu - the innovations will affect only the design of the window itself. The Control Panel will also float and have the exact same design as Start. The Action Center will be combined with control buttons, similar to what some other operating systems have been using for a long time. Almost all mentions of this new menu indicate that it will be a salad, with controls in a separate panel, notifications in another, and specific items (like the player) in a separate one.
There will be a transparent background with a blur everywhere
In fact, insiders and concept developers are divided on this issue, with some convinced that Microsoft will not change its traditions and stick to the right angles, while others believe that in 2021 Microsoft will follow the fashion of the network. The latter better fits the definition of "brand new Windows" - just hovering over the menu isn't enough to make the new design truly new. Networks should affect almost everything in the system, from context menus and system panels to all application windows. True, even in this matter, the opinions of the creators of the concept differ - some draw fillets in all possible interface elements, others combine them at right angles. There is disagreement on the internet about the display style of the island window, the corner design and the levitation effect of the menu, but almost everyone agrees on the transparency of the window.
A new font that has already been shown
The vast majority of leaks and design renderings show transparency and blur in all windows, whether it's at least the Start menu or the browser. Moreover, these effects are observed even when installing the canceled Windows 10X operating system, which Microsoft developed for dual-screen devices and weak apps in parallel with the Sun Valley project. The so-called acrylic transparency includes the use of new effects when hovering over elements, as well as increased spaces between elements - the areas of the interface with which the user interacts will certainly increase, and page titles will be made thicker. Windows 11 will likely use Segoe UI Variable, the default responsive font that already appeared in Windows 10 Build 21376 for Insiders.
